The point is that BIM is not black & white; BIM is any shade of grey in between, depending on what you need to convey, to whom, and at what stage in the project. It’s a balance of obligation against added value, portability against accessibility, information provision against information overload. BIM allows you to be as detailed or as sparse as you see fit.
