Duiveman Installatietechniek, based in Veeningen, the Netherlands, has been satisfied to draw with Stabicad for several years. At the moment they are working on the construction of the Animal Shelter and Refuge de Kluif that, due to the realization of a new residential area, is moving
to a new building in the small town of Witte Paarden in the Netherlands. The project manager is Bart van Thiel, 47, who has been at Duiveman for eight and half years.
We meet Bart at the spot where in a few months a brand new animal shelter will rise from the ground, and talk to him about how he, as a Stabicad user, tackles this project following the BIM principles. “With this method of working we can provide quality assurance to our clients,” says Bart. "Furthermore, by means of good cost estimating, additional costs are kept to a minimum. We tackle problems in advance, so that there is no need to ‘improvise’ on site and this minimizes loss in time and materials.” That’s how with good draftsmanship at an early stage, the sewerage system for the animal shelter was laid in a very short time. This allowed the foundations to be poured quickly and the building to be continued."
