Stabicad

Stabicad's system requirements are roughly determined by 2 factors:

1. General system requirements
2. The platform used
   • CAD-platform
   • AutoCAD
   • Revit

 

Operating system

• Windows 8.1 x64
• Windows 10 x64

 

Disk space requirement

• in conjunction with CAD platform / AutoCAD - 2.7 GB
• in conjunction with Revit - 14 GB

 

Recommended working memory

• in conjunction with CAD platform - 8 GB
• in conjunction with AutoCAD - 16 GB
• in conjunction with Revit - 32 GB

 

Recommended CPU

• in conjunction with CAD platform - Intel I5 or equivalent - 2+ GHZ
• in conjunction with AutoCAD - Intel I7 or equivalent - 3+ GHZ
• in conjunction with Revit - Intel I7 or equivalent 4+ GHZ

N.B: A higher clock rate gives better results than more core / cpu's.

 

Recommended Video Card

• in conjunction with AutoCAD/CAD platform (2D) - Nvidia quadro P620 or equivalent
• in conjunction with AutoCAD/CAD platform (3D) - Nvidia quadro P2000 or equivalent
• in conjunction with Revit - Nvidia quadro P4000 or equivalent

Note: An Onboard video card is usually not sufficient and can also cause instability.

 

Database

Stabicad uses Microsoft SQL Server. The free Express edition is sufficient. If there is a paid version, Stabicad can use it.

Stabicad supports Microsoft SQL Server version 2012 to 2017. Microsoft SQL is supported as Managed instance on Azure. The maximum supported latency for the database is 15 ms.

Minimum free internal memory: 2 GB
Minimum free disk space: 6 GB
Recommended free internal memory: 2 GB for Express edition (4 GB for all other editions of SQL Server)
Recommended free disk space: 6 GB

Supported SQL High availability options: Clustering / Database
Mirroring / Replication* / Always On
* = one directional, single commit

 

Network License

Stabicad can use a network license. For this purpose the Sentinel RMS software is used. Virtualization is allowed, MAC address & IP address must be fixed. UDP Port 5093 is used.

 

Stabicad via Terminal Server/Citrix/Virtualization

Stabicad is supported on Terminal Server/Citrix. Read about the possibilities on our support site.

Please contact the helpdesk for more information about the possibilities of Revit and AutoCAD on Terminal Server or Citrix. 

Advice: Citrix Xendesktop in conjunction with Nvidia Grid video card.

The CAD platform does not officially support a Terminal Server/Citrix environment.

When using Citrix/Virtualization, a network license is required.

 
Apple/Macintosh

Stabicad is only supported on a MAC PC in conjunction with the Windows operating system using Bootcamp. (Dual boot configuration). Parallel virtualisation is not recommended due to a lack of graphical performance and is not officially supported and requires a network license.

 

MEPcontent

MEPcontent supports all desktop browsers that contain the WebGL component.

Supported browsers:

• Google Chrome 9 and higher
• Internet Explorer 11 and higher
• Mozilla Firefox 4.0 and higher
• Opera 11 and higher
• Safari 6.0 and higher

In previous versions of these browsers, the website can be used, but it does not work completely.
